bag from Hinza, designed by Curt Christofferson, was originally
manufactured in the 1950's by Perstorp AB. It was then known as the
Perstorp Bag. The bag was a favourite in Swedish homes, being used
mainly for food shopping. Production stopped when supermarkets started
providing disposable plastic bags. After more than fifty years,
original bags in excellent condition are still being used. Production of the bag re-started in Perstorp in 2008.
The
bag is made of recyclable polyethylene, the black version is made of
recycled plastic and is stackable for easy storage.
